Gun Safety and Gun Violence Panel Discussion
Rio Rancho - New Mexico Gun Owners Association's Executive Director, Aaron Lee, participated in a Gun Safety and Gun Violence Panel Discussion at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The pastor, Sharon Littrell invited us to participate along with Anita Amstutz, Pastor of the Mennonite Church of Albuquerque and Charles Bennett, Attorney with The Widener Law Firm. The discussion was held on April 23, 2013, and was moderated by Shawn Gay, Physicist at Metatech Corporation and member of the congregation at St. Paul's. NMGOA was grateful to be able to participate and represent the gun owners of the state in a constructive and positive way. For those that may be interested in hearing the discussion, there was an audio recording made and is available here. If you must comment on the recording, please keep them civil and constructive. Aaron could say 'um' less, and that it would be an improvement on his part.

Spring Update
New Mexico Gun Owners Association has some exciting news.
First: April 23, 2013 NMGOA Executive Director Aaron Lee and other political leaders will be holding a discussion on our plans and ideas for the next two years, including through the next election cycle. Link to more event info on Facebook here. It will be at Furr's Family Dining at 6111 San Mateo Blvd NE in Albuquerque. It will begin at 4:30pm.
During the next three months we will be scheduling similar meetings around the state for those of you that cannot make it.
Second: Also on April 23, NMGOA Executive Director Aaron Lee will be participating in a panel discussion on gun control at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ at 2701 The American Road SE in Rio Rancho. This will begin at around 7:00pm.

SJC 9-12 Project Meeting
Aaron Lee, Executive Director of the New Mexico Gun Owners Association will be speaking at the monthly meeting of the San Juan County 9-12 Project / Farmington NM TEA Party meeting tonight at 7:00pm at the Totah Theater in Farmington, NM. He will be speaking on the recently completed legislative session in Santa Fe and the good, bad, and ugly firearms bills that were introduced this year, and what happened to them.
He will also give a basic overview of the NMGOA and where we go from here. He will be introducing a few new ideas to help strengthen and protect all New Mexicans firearms and self defense rights. He will be making numerous visits around the state during the coming months.
